Hello Third & Fourth Grade Families!

My name is Rebecca Kilver, and this is my seventh year at Our Lady of Fatima Parish School. I enjoy implementing technology in my lessons and getting students engaged with the content using
various activities. I have 1 brother and 1 sister, as well as 7 nieces! I enjoy baking, cooking, traveling, and being with friends and family in my free time.

I am excited to spend the year teaching your third & fourth graders! My main goal this school year is to help your child love learning!

Third graders are at an important age where they are gaining more independence and becoming self-sufficient. It is sometimes called the “middle school of elementary school”. This year will be a transition with greater responsibilities. Students will write paragraphs, read novels, practice multiplication and division, and explore new social studies and science concepts. These skills will be helpful to them as they continue their education.  My plan for this school year is for your child to grow  academically and socially and gain more experience with technology.

Fourth graders will be extending skills learned in third grade and learning new concepts . Your student will read several novels this year, write short stories and informational reports, gain fluency in multiplication and division, expand in knowledge of American history, and explore physical science . These skills will be helpful to them as they continue their education.

Students will be in a one-to-one Chromebook room, integrating technology into the lessons. By the end of the year, I want all my students to be prepared to enter the next grade.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at rkilver@olofatima.org. I am eager to get to know you and your child this year!
