Taylor Yanero
My name is Mrs. Taylor Yanero ( Yan - air - o) or you can call me Mrs. Y !
I live near the Gallaher Area with my Husband Seth and our fur babies! I have taught elementary school for the last five years in many different forms. I started by working towards a Master’s Degree in Teaching with a Specialization in Elementary Education K-6. I also share a passion for history and science. I love to know the “Why” of things. I started teaching as a day-to-day substitute teacher in Wayne County, then I taught English in Shenzhen, China for a brief period of time. After I returned, I completed graduate work at the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, and completed clinicals through Louisa West and East Elementary Schools. I taught Virtual 1st grade for a year then switched to in-person 1st grade at Spring Hill in 2022. I completed two years there and now we arrive at our current destination. Although I have been 1st-grade for awhile, I got my start with long-term 5th grade substitute teaching positions. I think I can be cool enough to teach fifth grade again. ????
If I’m not at school, you can find me playing in the dirt behind the library, er, I mean taking part in a very prestigious weekly garden club at the Gallaher Village Library down the street. I love our little city of Huntington. There is so much special character inside of it. In life you just need to try to look for the positive things as much as you can. There are so many beautiful places and things in our home state of West Virginia. If you work with me, get ready to learn lots of random facts about it. ????
