Homework:
- Reading: Students need to complete the Mr. Popper’s Penguins review packet. The completed packet is due Friday, March 8.
- Spelling:. The 3 completed activities are due Friday, March 8.
- Math: It is Quarter 3 Week 9 math homework. The completed work is due Friday, March 8. Students also need to study for their 0’s and 1’s multiplication quiz (50 questions) on Thursday, March 7.
IXL Skills:
Each week I will try to provide IXL skills that your child can work on at home. I will have individual skills under each letter starred. These are the ones your child should be practicing.

- Tuesday, March 5 – The Cat in the Hat Day (wear a hat or dress like Cat in the Hat), Mr. Popper’s Penguins project due & Topic 8 math test
- Wednesday, March 6 – Wacky Wednesday (wear mismatched/wacky clothes)
- Thursday, March 7 – Fox in Socks Day (wear crazy socks) & 0’s and 1’s x quiz
- Friday, March 8 – Character parade (dress like your favorite book character), end of 3rd grading period, Fish Dinner, all homework due (reading homework, math homework, and choice board), spelling test, & math quiz on homework
- Wednesday, March 13 – Report cards emailed
- Friday, March 15 – March Scholastic book orders due
- Monday, March 18 – Friday, March 22 – Spring Break
A Note from Miss Kilver:
- Your child needs to be working on his/her Mr. Popper’s Penguins project.
- For the 3rd quarter, I will again be offering AR awards. Please encourage your child to move up in his/her point club!
- Please check your child’s folder nightly.
- Please make sure your child brings a healthy snack each day. They should also have a water bottle at their desk.
- Please send your child to school with a coat each day. We will be going outside for recess if the temperature is above 32.
- Your child may want to bring a fleece or cardigan each day.
