First Grade Updates

ELA:
Review Unit 11, Week 1 in our Superkids curriculum.
Word Work– students will identify memory words: their, now, always, because, been & spelling words: I’m, he’s, she’s, it’s, we’re, you’re, I’ll, he’ll, she’ll, & you’ll
Reading– students will read fluently and understand literary and informational texts, read and understand new vocabulary.
Writing-students will write about favorite texts and characters
Math: Students will prepare for their Unit 8 Assessment- Understanding Place Value. The test will be on Wednesday.
Science: Students are working through a unit on living things
Social Studies: Students are studying several Presidents and completing Character Studies.

- Please remember to check your child’s yellow folder each day.
- Fish Dinner is 5-7 on Friday
