First Grade Updates

ELA:
Review Unit 8, Week 1 in our Superkids curriculum.
Word Work– students will identify memory words: boy, girl, two, four, about, over, before & spelling words: isn’t, didn’t, hasn’t, hadn’t, aren’t, wasn’t, weren’t, haven’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t
Reading– students will read fluently and understand literary and informational texts, read and understand new vocabulary.
Writing-students will generate ideas for a personal narrative
Math: Students are working through Unit 7 using the counting sequence to count to 120. Students will begin preparing for their test.
Science: Students are working through a unit on living things
Social Studies: Students will be working on a unit on Symbols and Traditions of the United States
Reminders:
- Please remember to check your child’s yellow folder each day.
- Unit 7 Assessment Practice for math will come home in homework packets
- Friday is a NOON DISMISSAL
