First Grade Updates

ELA:
Review Unit 7, Week 2 in our Superkids curriculum.
Word Work– students will identify memory words: oh, any, day, good, very, want & spelling words: baking, baked, smiling, smiled
Reading– students will read fluently and understand literary and informational texts, read and understand new vocabulary.
Writing-students will continue learning the parts of a friendly letter
Math: Students are working through Unit 6 Represent & Interpret Data
Science: Students will be studying the science behind snow
Social Studies: Students will be working on a unit on Symbols and Traditions of the United States
Reminders:
- Please remember to check your child’s yellow folder each day.
- Due to our snow days, we are making up lessons from last week.
- I sent home the Unit 6 math study guide in the homework packet. Please look over this carefully with your child. They will be tested next week.
