This week we will complete our class level and middle school spelling bees.  There will be a half day on Friday and no school on Monday.  Students will visit the school library this week.

5^th Grade

Students will present their 2024 presentations.  We will have a Harris Burdick- Creative writing assignment.  We hope to work on completing our class novel this week. We will complete lessons in our grammar books. 

 6^th Grade

Students will complete a writing project based on the end of the novel questions. Final Comma review- Pages- 145-152- Commas in a series, quotations and nonrestrictive elements.  They will also begin their essays for the Young Writers contest.  

  7^th Grade

This week we plan to read our class novel which is The Outsiders.  We will review colons, semicolons and ellipsis.  Students will begin their essays for the Young Writers Contest. 

 8^th Grade

This week students will visit the school and public library.  We will begin our new class novel which is The Rocket Boys.  My dad will come speak to them and show them artifacts about his time working in the coal industry. Students will begin their essays for the Young Writers Contest.
