5th, 6th, and 8th Grades:

 

This week, students are learning about the conclusion of the French and Indian war and how this started the dissension between the Colonists and the Crown. Students will be able to identify reasons for the War for Independence. All work should be completed in class so homework is not anticipated. All students should come to class prepared with a charged Chromebook, social studies binder, and something to write with.

 

7th Grade:

 

This week, students will be learning about Ancient China. This unit will begin with a map coloring/labeling activity to get used to the geographical features of the region we will be studying. After the map activity, we will begin our Ancient China Timeline and culture activity. All work will be completed in class so homework is not anticipated. All students are expected to come to class prepared with a charged Chromebook, social studies binder and something to write with. 

 

Religion: 

 

This week, students are learning general information about Advent, why it is celebrated, symbols we may see during advent as well as ways we can use this season to increase our relationship with Christ. Each grade will be discussing Advent with varying levels of mastery. All work should be completed in class so homework is not anticipated. All students should come to class prepared with a charged Chromebook, Religion binder, and something to write with.
